Inspiration
Stéphanie Maillard draws her inspiration from daily life. Inspired by nature, organic shapes and lines fascinate her. One of her greatest sources of inspiration comes from the landscapes of the North Sea that she loves so much.

Paint
I use acrylic paint on canvas and sometimes I add some natural material such as sand.
Textures
I love working on textures. It adds depth and character to the painting.
Layers
I work multiple layers, work the negative
space and play with transparency.
Water
Water is a key element in my painting process.
I use acrylic like watercolour paint.
Tools
I use all kinds of tools to paint.
My favorite is the painting knife.
